Why we exist
Most small businesses get quoted thousands of dollars for a website that’s really just five pages of who you are, what you do and how to reach you. Or they end up wrestling a DIY builder alone on a Sunday night instead of running their business.
Neither of those is good enough. A new trade business, a local clinic or a cafe just starting out doesn’t have a spare $5,000 sitting around for a website, and shouldn’t need one. So we built Straight Up Web to charge what a well-made small business site should actually cost: $500, once, built by people who do this every day, without a studio, a sales team or months of meetings you never asked for.

We designed a set of layouts that already work: fast, mobile-first and set up properly for Google. Your site is shaped around your business, not drawn up from a blank page and billed by the hour.
You deal with the people doing the work
No account manager relaying messages, no sales call before you can get a straight answer. You talk to whoever is actually building your site, by phone, email or WhatsApp.
We stay on merit, not contracts
Hosting and SEO are month to month because that's fair. If we're not earning it, you should be free to leave, so we make sure you don't want to.

We tell you what something costs and what it does before you pay, not after. If a plan isn't right for your business, we'll say so.

Every monthly plan runs month to month. Thirty days' notice and you're out, no exit fee and no awkward retention call.

The site, the content and the domain are yours from day one. If you leave, we hand everything over. It was never ours to hold onto.
Where we work
We’re based on Sydney’s North Shore, and we build sites for small businesses right across Australia. The whole process happens by phone, video or WhatsApp, which is a big part of how we keep the price down. No travel, no office visits, no rent on a glass tower in the CBD passed on to you.
