The honest bit: what it doesn’t include
A $500 website is a real trade-off, and we’d rather tell you where the edges are than have you find them after you’ve paid.
None of this is a catch. It’s just scope, and it’s all priced or explained up front on our pricing page.
- A fully bespoke design from a blank page. Yours is shaped from layouts we've already built and tested, not drawn up from scratch.
- More than 5 pages. Most small businesses fit comfortably, and we'll help you combine content. Bigger sites go to ClickTheory, our sister studio.
- Unlimited changes. You get one proper round before launch. After that, small edits are covered by whichever plan you're on.
- Shops, logos and custom builds. Online shops with a checkout, logo design, membership portals and custom booking systems aren't what the $500 is for. ClickTheory quotes those up front.
What we need from you
A few photos and the basics about your business. Our short form walks you through it, and we write the words from there. No logo? We set your business name in a clean typeface.
There’s no brief to write and no mood board to build. The form asks plain questions: what you do, who you do it for, what makes you different, and what you want people to do when they land on your site, whether that’s calling you, filling in a form or booking online.
Send through your logo if you have one and a handful of photos, of your work, your premises or your team. No logo yet? We set your business name in a clean typeface. No decent photos? Tell us and we’ll work around it with the layout instead of using stock imagery that looks like every other site in your industry.

Mobile first, because your customers are
Most people looking for a local business are doing it on their phone, standing in a car park or scrolling on the couch. We design for that screen first and the desktop version second, not the other way round.
Fast, because slow sites lose customers
Every layout we use is built to load quickly on an ordinary phone connection, not just on the office wifi. Heavy, bloated pages are one of the fastest ways to lose someone before they've even read what you do.
Google ready from the day it launches
Page titles, descriptions, headings and schema markup are all set up properly, not left as an afterthought. We also connect Google Business Profile and Search Console so Google knows you exist from day one.
It’s yours, from day one
The site, the content and the domain belong to you, not to us. We build it, we hand it over, and if you ever want to leave, there’s nothing holding you back.
Your first 3 months of Care hosting are included, which covers hosting, SSL, security and backups while you get settled. After that it’s $49 a month if you want us to keep looking after it, month to month with no lock-in contract. If you’d rather host it yourself or move it to another agency, we’ll hand over the files and point you in the right direction instead of making it difficult.
One price. No extras.
$500 + GST covers everything listed above. There's no add-on menu and nothing gets added at checkout. You pay us for the website, and for a monthly plan if you want one. That's it.

We don’t do these at this price, and we won’t pretend otherwise:

- Online shops with a checkout

Website questions
Will my website look like everyone else's?
It's built from a set of layouts, not copied off one template. We shape the colours, photos, wording and structure around your business, so two Straight Up Web sites in the same suburb won't look like siblings.
Is it really just $500?
Yes. $500 + GST for up to 5 pages, built and live in about a week, with the first 3 months of Care hosting included. We write the words, link your booking tool and set up a news section as part of that. There's no add-on menu.
What if I need more than 5 pages?
Most small businesses fit in 5, and we'll help you combine content so nothing important gets left out. If you genuinely need a bigger site, that's a job for ClickTheory, our sister studio, which quotes custom builds up front. On the Dominate plan we also add new location pages as part of your SEO.
Do you write the words for me?
Yes, it's included. You fill in a short form (or we do it on a 15-minute call) and we write plain-English copy for every page. You check it before launch along with everything else.
What happens after the first 3 months?
Your site needs somewhere to live and someone keeping an eye on it, so Care hosting continues at $49 a month + GST unless you tell us otherwise. You can also move up to Grow or Dominate if you want SEO and free Google Ads management, or take the files elsewhere at any time.
Can you build an online shop?
Not at $500. A shop with a checkout is a bigger job, so we point you to ClickTheory, our sister studio, or to Shopify or Square Online if you'd rather run it yourself. We can link your site to an existing store, or add a simple "reserve this item" enquiry form as part of the build.
