Websites for electricians

An electrician website that shows you're licensed

Nobody wants an unlicensed person near their switchboard. Your site should show your licence, say what you do, and make it easy to ask about the job.

What your customers are typing into Google

  • “electrician near me”
  • “emergency electrician”
  • “switchboard upgrade electrician”
  • “EV charger installation”
  • “solar installer near me”
  • “power point installation”
  • “smoke alarm electrician”

What your website needs to do

Licence and contractor numbers on every page

Electrical work is licensed, and the rules differ by state. Show your licence number, and your contractor licence number if you hold one, in a spot visitors can't miss. Add your insurance details too.

Residential, commercial or both, said plainly

A homeowner with a flickering light and a builder after a fit-out need different things. Say who you work for so the wrong enquiries don't land and the right ones do.

Pages for the jobs people search for by name

Switchboard upgrades, EV charger installs, smoke alarms and lighting each get searched separately. A short, specific page for the ones you want more of works better than a long list.

A solar and EV charger enquiry path

These jobs usually need a few details before you can quote, like the property, the system or the car. A short form asking for those saves a round of phone tag.

Emergency and fault call information

If you take urgent faults, put the number up top and say what you cover. If you don't, say that too, and point people to the right place for a power outage.

Common mistakes to avoid

Licence details hidden or missing

A licensed trade site with no licence number makes visitors wonder why. It's one of the cheapest trust signals you have.

Promising solar or EV work you don't do

Listing every electrical job under the sun brings in enquiries you'll turn down. Only list what you actually take on.

A contact form with no job details

A box that just says message gets vague enquiries back. A few simple questions about the job and the property save you the call back.

Getting found on Google

Electrical searches range from urgent faults to planned upgrades, so the site needs to cover both. A Google Business Profile under the electrician category, with accurate hours, a service area and photos of finished switchboards and installs, does the early work. Then job-specific pages for the work you want, such as switchboards or EV chargers, give those searches a place to land. Reviews that mention the job and the suburb help the profile too. Our Grow plan handles the profile, local SEO and two posts a month. Rankings aren't guaranteed, but the groundwork is what most electrician sites are missing.

  • Online shops with a checkout
  • Logo and brand design
  • Custom booking systems or web apps

Questions from electricians

Can you list my licence and contractor numbers?

Yes. We ask for them in the onboarding form and place them on every page, along with your insurance and any trade association memberships you want shown.

Can the site have pages for solar and EV chargers?

Yes, within the 5 pages. If you do both, we'll usually give them a page each and fold the rest of your services into the others.

Can you build a quote calculator for solar?

No, we don't build custom tools or calculators. We can add a short enquiry form that collects the details you need. For something custom, our sister studio ClickTheory can help.

Do I get a page for each suburb?

Not at $500. The site has up to 5 pages, so your main areas are named across them. More location pages come with our Dominate plan.
