Websites for landscapers

A landscaper website that shows the transformation

Garden work is visual and seasonal. Your site needs to show the before and after, make clear whether you design, build or maintain, and be ready when the busy season hits.

What your customers are typing into Google

  • “landscaper near me”
  • “landscape design near me”
  • “garden maintenance near me”
  • “lawn mowing near me”
  • “retaining wall builder”
  • “paving and turfing”
  • “garden makeover”

What your website needs to do

Before and after photos

Nothing sells a garden job like a bare yard next to the finished one. Pairs of photos taken from the same spot are the most persuasive thing you can put on the site.

Design, construction or maintenance, said clearly

Someone wanting a new backyard and someone wanting a fortnightly mow are different customers. Split the two so each finds the right offer and the right way to contact you.

A seasonal note on what you do when

Spring clean-ups, autumn planting and summer lawn care all bring different searches. A short section on what you cover through the year keeps the site useful off-peak.

A quote form that asks for photos

Most garden quotes start from a photo and a rough size. A form that takes both saves a site visit just to say yes or no.

Licence details where they apply

Rules for landscaping work differ by state, and some structural work like retaining walls or decks may need a builder licence. If you hold a relevant licence, show it. Insurance details help too.

Common mistakes to avoid

A gallery of finished gardens, no process

Showing only the end result misses the part that sets you apart. A few progress shots and a line on what you did make the work more believable.

Quiet in winter, so the site stops

A site last updated in spring looks inactive by the next one. Simple seasonal updates keep it looking current.

Mixing maintenance and design on one page

A page that tries to sell weekly mowing and full redesigns confuses both buyers. Give each its own space.

Getting found on Google

Landscaping is local and seasonal, so timing matters. A Google Business Profile with landscaper and gardening categories, photos of finished jobs and seasonal posts helps you show up when people start thinking about their garden. On the site, separate pages for design and construction versus ongoing maintenance match two different searches, and project photos with suburb names give Google something to read. Our Grow plan includes two posts a month, which suits a trade with a clear busy season. We can't promise rankings, but a steady stream of real photos and recent activity is what most garden sites lack.

  • Sites with more than 5 pages
  • Online shops with a checkout
  • Logo and brand design
  • Custom booking systems or web apps

For those, talk to ClickTheory, our sister studio, which builds custom websites and quotes up front.

Questions from landscapers

Can I show before and after photos?

Yes. We set up the gallery with before and after pairs, and you send us the photos from your phone. Taking them from the same spot makes the biggest difference.

I do design and maintenance. Can both fit?

Yes, within the 5 pages. We usually give design and construction one page and maintenance another, so each type of customer finds their own path.

Can people book regular maintenance online?

We don't build booking systems. If you already use a scheduling tool, we can link or embed it at no extra cost. Otherwise a quote form that asks the right questions works well.

Do you need photos from me?

Yes, ideally. Send phone photos of a few finished jobs and we'll use those over stock images. We'd rather launch with three real ones than a gallery of strangers' gardens.
